You are exactly right. My Solidworks dealer is also a Dimension printer and Next Engine scanner dealer. I can get you info if you need it. For what it's worth, they said there are some pretty significant limitations to the scanner. I have a pretty good relationship with my tech guy and he gives me the straight scoop unlike the salesmen. It's been a while since we talked about it, but if you're interested I will find out. He however said the printers are absolutely amazing. I just can't figure out how to justify my Engineering group getting one. I'm still working on it.
