I had a buddy hit a Moose one night in a '70 Chevelle in Northern MN in high school. Knocked the Muncie into neutral, and one half the antler was through the pass. side windshield. He didn't dare get out, so slapped it back in gear, drove on home to get the gun and finish it if it wasn't already dead...which it obviously was. In 1988 I hit a donkey doing 70. Never saw him and and it was on the driver side A piller. If it was not that it was a volvo 740 turbo, I would have been dead (sucker was built like a tank). The donkey weighed over 1000lbs and almost completely severed its head from the neck. The car sustained $6,800 in damage. It was time to get rid of the car after that.
