It's looking great! I was wondering why we had not heard much on this one. Sounds like you have/had a very busy schedule.

I've been working on the car just not updated the thread. I'm learning as I'm going so it seems like everything is an experiment to see how it turns out. Then it seems like I do almost everything three times lol. I'm having a lot of fun learning though. These pictures aren't all the way updated, and I'll try to put up some more updated ones. I'm also hoorible at stopping to take pictures sometimes. Sometimes I just want to work lol. As far as updates the pictures kind of speak for themselves... finally got my welding outlet in my garage. Also found out the cars been hit in some way in the quarter panel. And the job wasn't done right to fix it. A new partial quarter was riveted onto the old quarter... fun. Im not all the way dont with it and actually have redone some of it so I'll update that when i can.

I also started the car for the first time! It started right up! Stopped it. Tried to start it up again and was having troubles. I played with the timing a bunch. Took off the valve cover and turned the motor. The intake and exhaust for cylinder 1 weren't opening and closing. Felt the rocker arms and they were loose! So took apart the valvetrain and had a bent rod. So then I checked the sizes on the rods and they weren't the correct sizes. Took some advice from my dad and just rebuilt the valvetrain with new rods and lifters. I wanted to redo the whole top end to be safe because a mistake like this worries me. The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner, and from the looks of it, never got it refired. He passed away so it's hard to get any real good information on it. I did find out through some research that it is an L-78. Something that was unknown at the time of purchase and pretty cool. I haven't fired it up again yet but it's all ready to go.

So I've been shaping, bending, cutting, welding, and testing to try to get this quater to fit and look right. Just trying to do the most with the tools I have. Still a work on in progress and some of the pics have been redone since... I wish I had some pics when it was really bad, but they are on my old computer that isn't currently working.
