There has been many times I've chosen a round of golf, motorcycle ride, blast in the car over taking out a client. It might mean I lost the opportunity at a pay day but I'm ok with that at the end of the day. Of course you do what you love and I don't so that's a major difference.

Well see, at 40 Y/O I took a 2 years siesta. I was kinda burned out, tired of cars. So I finished all the work and kept the shop as a hobby shop for the kids and me. I focused on building a race car with them for them to race (they were 12 to 16), and played around with daytrading and was pretty good at it. My lifestyle (besides cars) is pretty lean, so I was able to get by and clear my head, recharge the batteries! When we got working on Michaels car, and when Michael informed me this is what he wanted to do, that he did not want to go to school, I got excited again being able to teach and work with him. And doing more customs and less boring restorations helped make it easy to.

So it is probably more easy for me then others to work a lot. We never go away for any period of time, can't be out of pocket that long, but always slip some fun time into our trips. We pick up and deliver a lot of projects and always find something to do along the way, or scedule a extra day or two for a event. So we have some fun too. One of my cell phones is my business line, so I can be sitting at a hotel sometimes with my phone and laptop and do business, forums, etc. And yeah, sometimes, like this weekend, I leave that one at home!

BTW, I will know for sure Monday, but it looks like I will have a little business trip coming up in Vegas October 7 through 10. We will have to hook up! See, tieing in fun with work.

Very cool Frank. Everything happens for a reason.
Glad that you are still building cars and supplying parts and great info as well.

We did 2 projects with Kenne Bells. One was Patrick's 68 and on that one Patrick did the car, we just did paint and helped him finish it. That car is a stock LS1 with a cam and makes 535RWHP at the tires. It is totally sorted and totally reliable. It is here today getting a look over and soe tinterior stuff finished. It will be driven 700 miles to RTTHs this week and will be tough to beat on the dragstrip. there will be a full set of pictures of Patricks car on the website in a couple weeks.

The other was one we did the mechanical only, but not the body paint and finish work. It has a Turn Key 408 and was supposed to have made almost 800 on the engine dyno, but only made 535 on the RWHP dyno.
