Car
Bill, it was nice meeting you. I enjoyed seeing your car at the show. It sure looks nice.

Thanks Stuart, same here. I had a ball at Steve's party meeting everyone.
BTW, after yesterday, there is some rubber on the goat's quarters! |
It was nice to meet you Jeff, and Scott, Jody...and neat to also meet so many others....Every time I stopped by the Marquez booth, Pasqual was off "getting something to eat" ...so we never did hook up.... Missed Tyler at the ATS booth and Steve Cryssos at Twist Machine too. Never got to meet Paul Clark but everywhere I went, he "was just here!"
Meeting Terry Stevens was a nice surprize, and we accidently found ourselves in the middle of a porn star's wedding at Caesars (but thats another story...) Wow, what a show. Next year, I have to have more of a plan as to where exactly to be and when, because this thing is just tremendous. Two full days were not enough to really see all of it. Just incredible. |
Alright....this SEMA stuff is getting to be too much fun. I'm going to have to finally bite the bullet and get out there next year. Now that GM has been gracious enough to trim the shut-down from 2 weeks down to 1, I can save some vacation time for the trip.
Only 12 more months...I can't wait. |
Yeah...i gotta go next year. I went in 2001 and it was awesome. It would be alot more fun hanging out with you guys. It looks like you all know how to have fun.

Jeff-
You nailed it perfectly. It was great to finally meet the infamous pivot man, after 3 years of e-mails and phone calls. For the others I was fortunate to meet, it was my pleasure. To finally put a face with the voice...or in some cases the keyboard just reinstates the friendships I have made even better. In my opinion - We have a pretty rare thing going on over here and I see it only getting better. We are all in great company. As far as the Party..What can I say..."That was one hell of a party" . I would like to personally thank Steve & his family for hosting such an event. It was talked about the rest of the trip. A huge highlight that we all to enjoyed. As always the night life was just as memorable as SEMA. Between Stifler (Scott), Pivot Man (Jeff..I swear this guy can do stand up :hail: ), Stuart(Fook Yoo & Fook Me), Big Jim, Jody & numerous others it was comical & entertaining to say the least. Still recovering..I swear getting old sucks. Don't quite bounce back like I used to. :goofy: To those who didn't make it, I don't want to rub it in, but you missed out in a big way...Start making plans for next year. No doubt I't will will be better. Rumor has it, Flamingo will be the place to be at next year!! |
I definitely had many highlights at SEMA and met many great people, but here is a pic of the ultimate highlight for me this trip:
http://www.momentummotor.com/Trevor/TrevAndTroy1.jpg I literally bumped into him in the lobby of our Hotel. He is one really cool guy. Didn't hesitate to take the time to talk and take a picture. For Troy! Trev |
This entire thread is worth one more read before it goes off into oblivion.
Any one that can possibly make it to SEMA next year, try. As 'Thrush' put it, I will never look at these boards again in the same way, ever. Finding real car dudes is like revisiting my youth. This board shrinks the distance between cars, builds, and friends. SEMA. Be there. ALOHA! |
 Listen to Tarzan.
