Thanks for the comments!
Some specs: all-aluminum DART 540 big block and TKO600 trans full Roadster Shop chassis with DSE components Wilwood W6A 6-piston calipers with 14.25 rotors and (as you see in the pics) the awesome 19x10" front and 20x12" 3-piece Evod rims we had made with 285/35x19 fronts and 335/30x20 on the rear. For those not familiar with the '56, we flipped both front and back bumpers, cut them into a thousand pieces and re-profiled them to fit the body. Each bumper will be getting a carbon fiber insert front and back with a cold air induction on the front and integrated exhaust tips on the rear. Not many people catch this, but each fender wheel opening has been flared out 3/4"! We also significantly pinched the rear frame rails for the new exhaust tip route to the bumper, complete new trunk floor and tubs, recessed and smoothed firewall to accommodate the massive motor and new trans tunnel. As if all that wasn't enough we have a few plans for some of the trim pieces and of course the introduction of our production interior (dash, door panels, quarter sections, one piece headliner, package tray and trunk lid cover) and trunk hinges. This customer car also featured a custom front and rear seat and steering wheel. At Sema, we were essentially only 5 weeks into the build! We have a lot of ideas for this car and the goal from day 1 was to have a pro-touring derived Bel Air that we (and of course the customer!) could drive hard! Chris |
Thanks for the info.
No doubt a super cool build. Those front wheels/tires are massive. To put things into perspective, we are using the exact same size wheels and tires as the front of this 56 in the rear of a mini-tub'd 67 nova we're building LOL |

We wanted it to look planted at all four corners - not just the back. Having a 'dish' in the front rim was also important to us from the very start. |
Very nice guys. Nice work. That is going to be one hell of a killer looking car when complete.
Keep us posted please.  |
Beautiful work inside and out. 56 is my favorite Tri 5 .
