The color really pops with the eye. Went with Kyle for a ride in the country and people about broke their necks looking at the car as we went by. The color is a real popper in daylight. Smooth car also.

I would love to see it in person. Did you have a chance to drive it? If it drives half as good as it looks it should be a great driver.

This might sound like a wild idea, but why don't you see if you can get ahold of Jr. and ask him what the color is? With the power of the net and a little luck, I'd bet you could get a direct answer from him. Good Luck!! Paul |
Really??

I think if you take some red & yellow paint and pour them togather you will get the orange color you want.Let us know how that works out.

The car was in the December 07' issue of Hot Rod Magazine and was one of the top ten cars in HRM for that year. As far as color, Sherwin Williams did supply the paint and the sticker did say Home Depot Orange. The metallic was heavy so I believe it was reduced to tone it down a little. The clear was not SW though. I think the clear was Southern Polyurethane.
The car was nice, pretty basic, really had a nice look. Really surprised he hasn't swapped engines by now. LS9 would be a great swap. He doesn't drive the car much but heard that it's one of he favorites. |
I thought the color looked quite a bit different in person - out in the sun - than I expected from the pictures. You can't really see the metallic in the pics.
There are a lot of little details on this car that I find myself going back to look at in the build pics. |
I was told it was a special mix SW did for Jr.
I would really like to know what it is also. Tonny |
