Greg, do you have any pictures of your Nomad from when you first got it or from the build?

Yeah -- from "which time" would be the trouble. It "looked" the way it does now - body and paint were done - as was the Lopez interior. It had a poor running 350 and disc brake/drum brake stock frame...

First time around - I built a 383 and a new core support (from scratch) and put in a Xflow aluminum radiator - did the Baer brakes all around - and did Heidts SS tubular A arms. Liked it that way enough to decide that it was a 'keeper' --

Second time around was yank the body - drop it on the Jim Meyer Chassis (AME wasn't building 'em then - but Art was building the frame rails for Jim) - and while that was getting done - I thought "everybody" is running a 383 - so had the 427 sbc built... carbed. I loved the way it drove - but the motor was a complete DB POS... sounded funny and ran like crap -- and when I pulled into a station - I filled the oil and checked the gas...

That winter I yanked the motor - and trans - and had Jim Green Performance do the motor over... and had the 700r4 rebuilt with all the right stuff... took it to the dyno - and the trans wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear... so out that came (it's still rolling around here somewhere on a dolly) and did a BowTie Overdrives Stage 3 700r4 and 2800 stall converter... LOVE THIS TRANS...

In between there somewhere I added a big azz stereo set up - with some killer speakers -- and the sub woofers -- and the center console...

I bought the car in December of 1999 --- so it's seen a LOT of miles --- and lots of smiles. In the meantime -- I've owned half a dozen big block 66/67 Vettes - a few hot rods - 3 or 4 69 Camaros... a 36 Ford project - a couple 69 Camaro Convertibles.... and on and on. The Nomad is the keeper... I just like the car. I call it my "rolling experiment".

That looks like one of those "i will get to it projects that everyone knows about" Only the guy never touches it and the car goes to hell . To bad, That would be a nice ride

Yeah I like it Tracy! Big ol' boat - but a rare one - that could be made to be pretty kool....

They auctioned one off at BJ Scottsdale last year - White with a silver top - red interior - a big ol' 409 in it... just a real niffty cruiser. But I agree with you - this one will never see the light of day.

For some reason...I have a thing for old wagons. I'm sure most of that will buff-out.

Know of anyone looking for a wagon? I'm thinking about selling mine.
