Visited the rod shop today and it almost made me sick to see this car in pieces! All the DSE parts are in, front sub frame is already painted and assembled and we will start the mini tub and rear next week. I've decided to keep the 396 and auto trans for now (building this one on a budget) but I think its gonna come out pretty cool. We've decided to go for the semi murdered out look with the motor, very little billet, powder coating the headers and Frank (Prodgy Customs) and I are working on something for the radiator.

Ok, I know I decided to keep the 396 motor that's in here but I just got these numbers on a LSX427 from a very reputable builder. Dont know if I should even post these but here they are. What should I do??? Swap now or wait a year or so???

Well if you are posting sick dyno numbers of an LSX427 we already know what you want to do :unibrow:

Doing anything twice costs more money. The 396 isn't worth much now or next year. Is it really setup for what you plan for the car?

The 396 will work but I'm sure it will have its downside too! I plan on using the car for autocross and weekend driving/having fun with it. Just really trying to decide if it's $20k worth it right now. And yes, it will cost me more to swap things out later as the car is completely tore apart now.
