I personally like the current "retro" trend in the automotive industry. I guess to each his own.

I think every continuing transformation of a vehicle should keep some design cues from the predecessors. That way, the heritage and personality of a car can continue and it can be recognized for what it is. It's like us... every year we look a different (mostly older at this point) but people can still identify us.
The new Camaro should look like a Camaro - just not exactly like any of the previous ones. Subtle design elements that tie it into the past are fine with me but I want a new looking Camaro, not something that looks like it fell out the '60s or 70s. Some new car designs have gone too far, like the '40s (PT Cruiser). Yuck! Too retro. :faint: That's the retro I can live without. We had cars like that once. If retro gets out of hand we'll be driving cars with big wooden spoked wheels with fake horses mounted to the front! |

Derek: 2010 Mustang II --- GHIA.
 |
You Chevy guys need to worry about when the next Camaro comes out and what it will look like. I hope it looks better than what Chevy did with the SSR and the HHR. I for one like the new style of the current Mustang. I'll take a 2007 Shelby GT 500. :captain:

By the way....HHR is on pace for 120,000 units since June. That's 5000 more units than Chrysler sold of the PT Crusiser for ALL of last year. |
If the pics that leaked of the 09 camaro are real it's a pretty cool looking car.
