The 200mph Cuda video also came to mind as mentioned above. I hope there is NO damage. |
On my Fairmont Super Gas car, I am planning on welding studs to the underside of the trim. I have the luxury of it being a racecar, but if it is done cleanly enough, you could hide it.

Then the front spoiler exploded at 120.. You should be able to find a piece of OEM to replace it.. the aftermarket stuff isn't all that great. |

I remember as a kid, riding in my dads 66 Turbo Corvair. He decided to give it a 100 mph run and the hood came off the car. It was an instantaneous blur. It came off the car and broke the hinge bolts as it flipped up. I remember looking back and see it land in the ditch and fold like a paper plate.

Just put the new one on with a healthy dab of trim adhesive on the clips and have it taped down right now drying.
I put a couple of small dabs under the top trim after and solvent wash on the glass for an extra bit of bite. Hoping to keep it from tipping up in the front under wind pressure and blowing off again. |
Real easy "street car" conversion -- go flush mount - no trim -- looks better INMHO anyway...
