Great CTS-V flyby vid from a tuner that will go unnamed.

I seriously looked at one but couldn't get past the gas guzzler tax. I don't know if it is because I felt guilty or I just hate paying taxes. Maybe it's unrealistic to expect that level of performance without being branded a gas guzzler. It's a great car though, I don't think you can go wrong.

It's got to be the weight. The ZR1 isn't a gas guzzler. Even the new M3 is a gas guzzler. Hell, I've pulled down 15mpg in the Camaro! That's alot of lazy cruising at 70-80mph. It's nice to have a viable American option. Maybe I'll take that salesman up on that early morning test drive one of these days. It's probably a bad idea.

CTS-V = That would be my pick, hands down.
I belong to other forums where people own that car and love it. Not sure if this helps, but a good website is, cadillacforums.com
Good luck Todd. Keep us posted as well.

I LOVE that car. You need a black one, Todd. :D

Drove one loved it, performance car in Cadillac clothing. If I could live with the small size for a daily driver I'd be all over it. Just does not work for my life style... I'm keeping my eyes open for a used wagon version for the wife.

Go for it Todd!

Get the CTS-V.

I have a buddy that is on his 3rd ZO6 and his 2nd CTS V --- He LOVES them...

It's still a tough comparison all around to an E63... but... it ain't the same money either. You could have a his and hers CTS V... so really not right to compare 'em heads up.

Then if all was equal - and I liked the Caddy - I'd be more interested in total cost of ownership -- CTS V used prices vs BMW/MB used prices... which one is going to get me back a bit of my buck. That is where the domestics have typically fallen on their face. But, that may have changed with the performance these cars are getting, and the build quality.

The fact that the E60 M5's have really bad resale values doesn't help the cost of ownership of the BMW, nor does the 10-12 mpg. I know that doesn't usually matter for our toys, but in a daily driver....16 would be nice!
