I know one of his biggest complaints with the 3-link was the noise the spherical rod ends transmitted into the cabin of the car. We have sourced a new rod end that should cure this issue though......

Care to say who is the maker of the new rod ends?

We have them on the shelf and they are the same width as our Poly bushed rod end. :unibrow: Depending on what sort of brackets you have, the new rod ends may or may not be a direct drop in. Some dremel work may be needed.

For the life of me I couldn't find a 4-link setup on your website offered for sale

If you download the catalog from their website the Camaro rear clips are in there.

4 Link Angles

Can you please tell us what the angles are of upper and lower control arms in the 4-link?

CraigMorrison 06-15-2010 05:32 AM

Are you guys asking about a four link or triangulated 4-bar? Are you doing an install on a stock chassis / unibody or building your own thing? Or are you just looking for the optimum angles and trying to get close?

Have you guys done any 1/4 mile comparisons?

What about street driving comparisons?

Does 1 stand out over the other in these scenarios?

Both suspensions feel pretty much the same on the street. If anything, the 3-link may have a tad more foward bite due to a slightly shorter IC. The 3-link feels razor sharp when using spherical rod ends though - but very very noisy.

Performance and packaging combined, the triangulated 4-bar really shines.

I finally got the catalog downloaded, for some reason it didn't want to work on my wife's laptop,

I have a question for you guys, why is it that only one end of the links has adjustable end? Why not both ends? Is it to keep the costs down? I'm on a fence ,hesitant to pull the trigger and can't decide if I should build my own tri 4-link with currie end or buy yours, the only problem I see ,is that I want fully adjustable ends, so if I have to tweak something ,I won't have to pull the arms out of brackets to do a simple adjustment,is there an option for both ends of the bar to be adjustable? Can any of you give me a good answer, Matt, Craig?

Also a quick question, your tri 4-bar kit, is it universal or made for 1st gen F body?

Thanks alot

Typically we offer four-bar/link type suspensions with one fixed bushing because they are more sucesptable to a jam nut backing off while the axle housing articulates. Granted, this usually only occurs in drag-race four-link suspensions. It's also cheaper for the customer to have one fixed end on each link.

I don't see any reason why we couldn't do it with LH/RH threaded links, but it may cost a bit more (more rod ends, custom links, blah blah). I can look into it if you'd like.

The tri 4-bar kit is strictly universal.
