I just wish there were more hours in the day. That goes at the shop too. Anything you guys need stop by. See us in the spring. We'll be back & faster with some new cars next year!!! But make sure you see us, I'll make sure you get your rides. My name is Curt & Fritz is usually the poor guy hanging out at the trailer wishing he could get out & see whats going on at the show. The Camaro works really good, The big block makes us a little heavy in the front. But makes it a fun time cause you have to drive it with the rear tires too.

I agree about there needing to be more hours. I didn't want to be one of those guys riding the scooter things that were EVERYWHERE (micro rant) but after so much walking/talking it was time to call it a day.
You guys don't be afraid of building those early (64/65) Chevelles. Hahaha. I don't think I saw more than 3 in the whole show. |
had a blast, and got home just a couple hours ago. We debuted project "Phoenix" in the Optima booth this weekend. Although it was not quite done and worked like dogs for the last 2 days straight to get it there, we had fun. We will be back in the spring with the car done along with a few upgrades scheduled to be installed this winter.

DFW Good Guys
Hi all
I went Friday & Sat. I spoke to the guys at DSE and went for a ride in the new 63 Chevy II. Ryan laid down the fastest time of the day with my fat rump in the passanger seat. That guy can DRIVE he is so smooth it's hard to explain. I'm always so impressed on how nice the vendors are. They are were all class acts. I was there when the RS Chevelle went through the fence. He was hard on the gas coming to the finish line and through the timers. He locked up the brakes and slid into the fence. On Sat I rode in the Gateway yellow Mustang. We spun on the end of the first lap. I was laughing so hard I also lost it. He looked at me and said lets have fun and try to finish. We spun two more times. I think we did 3 donughts. We came to the finish line and we were both laughing so hard we had tears in out eyes. Not the fastest time but great fun. I think the only down fall was there were so many people this time doing the auto cross that it really limited the vendors so the rides were limited. I loved the No Limits 55 Ford truck very cool and fast. I also loved the white mini fast street car time except for the vendors. The 66 vett was cool but he couldn't believe how fast the 90 hp 67 mini was that he could not beat it. I was so impressed with the 63 chevy II that I think I'm going to find one and build one just like it but with a crate LS3 and an auto. It would be the perfect daily driver. TJ |
I may have convinced a friend to build one after he saw the DSE Chevy II...too.

Goodguys DFW
Guys, Sorry to inform you that Ryan in the Chevy II did not end up winning with the fastest time. Kyle with DSE came out on the last run of the day with a passenger and put up a 39.765 to beat Ryans 39.924, I guess the boss wins again!!!
I am glad you liked the Mini and the No Limits truck they were both really fast. Also the 32 of George Packard was nice to watch. For 2011 there will be 15 AutoCross events in the Goodguys Schedule!!!!! Goodguy Ed |
