Howdy Juhani!

Welcome!

Sounds like you have the car building talent down to a fine art. If you get a chance, post some pictures of your Rides.

Here are a couple of mine.

1) 1965 Buick Riviera, "Roadhouse Riv". (In Paint Currently)
2) 1964 Grand Sport Corvette "No Name Yet". (Rest of the Mid-America Parts just got here so should be moving forward in December 2010)
3) 1962 TR3B Survivor. Wife's car "no name yet"
4) '69 Camaro Profile, "She Devil", aka. Betty. Waiting on parts so it can move forward)
5) '69 Camaro, Interior picture w. Recaro Seats and Roll Cage
6) '69 Camaro, Another view of the Interior. Looking forward to making progress.

Hang in and stay active so we can follow your projects.

Take care,

Juhani:

Oops!

Should have read further down first.

Your cars look like a lot of fun. Do you have a number of friends that like Pro-Touring Cars/Muscle Cars?

Any Clubs you belong to?

Yes, my favorite Fin, Jean Sibelius. Great Composer! Favorite piece is, "Finlandia". Great history about this song during the early Russian influence.
Your country held together well through that hard time. I am sure you are proud.

Part of it is in your "National Anthem", I think, right? (Or at least a version of it?)

Anyway, glad your here.

Take care,

Hey teoneal!

Thanks, for the kind words.

Awesom looking cars, love the camaro cagework.

Yes, your right on our anthem. But it's not that anthem that play on olympicgames and so on. That's different song calll'd: Maamme ( our land).

And how can you not be proud, only country that could give old bad cccp an a..kicking. Only country against cccp that kept it's independents.

One Fin equals ten russian... That was ration on casualties. That for History lesson.

About cars:

Unfortunately I have to tell you that Camaro and Mustang are not mine, I just built them. I'm a Mopar guy, even daily I drive a Superduty dually.

Camaro is scary to drive, even 60mph it still loses grip and you can burn rubber as long you have rubber or balls...The owner has ultra rare original '70 HEMI Challenger with original gatorskinrood plus extras and has not even registered it here cos someday he's gonna sell it back to States.

Swinger was first street racer, first build mid '80, i got it '93 rebuild it in next 10 year. Then turn'd to pro street/touring with 4l60E trans,Tci TCU controler box home made paddle shifter system. Top speed that thing was so high that never got end of it. My best was 155mph then fiberglass hood reminded a camping tent so it was time to fit.

Super bee is gonna be my talent showpiece. I'm not even nothing to compare these pro's here in forum but hey, my garage machining department tools are 3 different size angle grinders and a cordless drill  Even though I got this awesom engine, I'm not a rich dude. just normal bluecollar guy...

My friend is a teacher local school where he teaches CNC machining so I get my parts done cheap but not so fast.

Here in Finland we have strong represents of hod rods, customs and muscle cars. Lot's of clubs, almost ever city has one. Lot of talented builders, beautiful hot rod, fast cars. I'm lone wolf, no club. We are car country, there is a saying motorssportworld: If you wanna win, hire a Fin. We have champions in rallying, drag racing, all kind formula ( not in us) , F1 boats and so on.

catch you later, gotta go

SuperB70 12-05-2010 01:35 PM

No biggie, that's fine. My grandfather was from the Eura area, came here in the 30's and married my grandmother who was second generation...Aino and Eino.
