Well, lets see. Black is timeless. I personally am not much a fan of reds or blues, in other words, I don't paint my own cars those colors, BUT, they are very popular across a broad spectrum. There are some rather nice variants of reds and blues to consider. Even if someone does not love reds or blues, like me, most find them acceptable. Silver is a neutral color not likely to offend anyone, and some love it, almost no one hates silver. Yellows and Oranges are hot, but you either LOVE them or HATE them, not many are middle of the road on those colors. For the record, while I love Yellow and have hadm success with yellow, I have also found yellow to be the color most likely to offend! Greens are tough, funny enough, the plan right now is to use a rotten pickle green in a two tone design on our Rivera, and I am not usually a green fan. But we like funky greens. And as much as I really think Orange is a fad color, we will be using Tangelo in a two tone design on The Milf Project. But then again, I know the painter and can redo whenever it goes out of fashion

I don’t know if I helped much here. All I have done is give the opinion of a 25 year painter / builder and show veteran, also a dealer that sees colors comes and go. If you would like to tell me what colors in general you like, I would be happy to help you pick a nice shade or variant you will like, at least give you an opinion. And you know what they say about opinions! Just decide if you want to be trendy or timeless.

Mist green is a killer color.. I might paint my 'Stang that color..

Maybe with some smoked silver stripes...

I think it would look cool, you wouldn't see too many others painted the same color. I tend to go against the grain though. I could see where it might hurt resell if that ever comes up down the road.

Didn't Foose do an older Corvette on Overhaulin in a soft colored green with tan in it? I thought they added a small red stripe. Check out Overhaulin's web site.

That was a top notch color scheme.

I had a 1970 Chevelle SS 396 that green mist colow with black stripes. It wasnt my favorite color for a car but still cool. I think a dark green with white stripes looks good.

Great color and green is making a big comeback! Just unload the TT-IIs and you'll have a unique ride. If you needed to dump it at auction, I'd go red like everyone else but if you love the car and want to keep it, go green!
As for not drawing a crowd with green, I'll be sure and tell everyone I see standing around Chicayne so i can get a good picture for once!

Just my opinion

When it comes down to colors, i look at it this way , if i have a car that is a numbers matching car, and it is going back together that way , hands down it goes back to the original color.( for ex. a SS or a Boss ) Once modifications have been done to the car i think the color thing is wiped off the board and then it comes to personal prefrence . With that said, personally i really like black and med to dark blues. If you want to resell the car red is always a sure bet. As of late, some greens have really grown on me, for example House of Kolors Lime time green!! Lime time green with Black stripes with a set of 17's on the front side and 18's on the rear (Budnicks or Billet Spec.) and you will have a real head turner!!

I drove a brand new Mist Green 69 El Camino SS off the showroom floor. Loved that color.

I do not much much experience wih using photo editing pictures.

I don't know what I want to do.... I would like to use the mist green but I would love to see it on paper all smoothed out, lowered, with some wheels. If it looks good I will go that route and some people will like and some won't.

edit
I am going to post some pictures at s10forum and see if someone can photoshop it for me. They have a section only for photochoping.

try a midnight green pearl with charcoal stripes and charcaol rims with the outer ring polished slammed smoothed and cool
im a painter... when a customer wants to pick a custom colour we send them round the new car dealerships and tell them to find the colours that look the best, then get the paint code
try finding a green you like, cause not much will go with a green interior except black, silver's and green
