wow. in 48 hours I would thing you would also get the frustration in full effect of building up a car.
If it was me- on the 18 hour I would be live streaming in HD how to sell a project car due to frustrations and time restrictions .. lol

Good luck with your build.

We'll, its been a bit since we have posted anything significant on the 48 Hour Camaro build. We have been very busy planning, organizing, and coordinating, as you can imagine!
With 3 weeks until we begin the build, things are quickly coming together. Here is a partial list of components and vendors that we are using for the build:

Engine: Lingenfelter is doing an LS3 with a Magnacharger. Mike Copeland tells me it should make 675 on pump gas. Holley EFI, oil pan, exhaust manifolds, and motor mounts. Yehaw!
Transmission: Somewhat of a departure from what most are used to seeing around here...we are using a Muncie M20 4 speed with a Gearvendors overdrive. There are 2 reasons for this: First, this combination will fit under the Camaro trans tunnel...no complete trans tunnel rebuild needed. This is important to us because of the compressed build window, but also to many other guys out there who just don't want to mess with the tunnel! The second reason is that I really want to be able to shift this thing into second and third under power. I have had problems with this concept with other combinations and I do not intend to deal with it again. I have good experience with the Muncie units and with the Gearvendors units...really looking forward to this!
Rearend: No brainer...Moser 12 bolt. They are in Indiana and they build a great product that I have used many times. It has a 3.50 gear with thieir new WaveTrac posi unit and 31 spline axles as thick as my wrist!
Brakes: Another no brainer...Baer. This is the same 13" 6 piston setup that we used on Velocity.
Vintage Air - A/C unit and Frontrunner...used them before...hard to go away from what works!
Forgeline wheels - Probably the prettiest and lightest wheel available...wait till you guys SEE these!

There is lots more...I'll have pictures and more text starting this week on several of the forums and the 48hourcamaro.com website. It's going to be getting busy from here on out.
