Thanks. It is just a home built bolt on car and doesn't come close to the builds I see on here.

The paint is House of Kolor. The color is Brandywine. It is a lot of work to apply. Two coats of black sealer, three coat of silver base, four coats of Brandywine candy base followed by three coats of clear followed by wetsanding followed by three more coats of clear.

You paint it yourself? If so, where'd you pick up that valuable skill?

Just did a bunch of reading, built a homebrew paint booth, bought a couple of guns and started painting. I wouldn't call it skill at this point. This was my second car. Several years ago I got burned by a shop painting my 69 Z28 and swore never again. I actually enjoy doing all the work myself. The results are not show quality but good enough for the likes of me...

That's exactly what I'd like to do. Well...learn to paint not get shafted by a body shop. Let me know what material I should be reading. I've got a BASIC general knowledge just from reading magazines and watching Power Block on Spike but not too much more.

I picked up a fair amount on the southern polyurethanes website and forum. They used to have some good instructions for painting and color sanding etc but they are gone now. I'll see if I can find my printouts and scan them. The forum is also worth some time.

Thanks for the tip.

Finally finished it. It became more resto-mod than pro-touring. Been on the road for a couple of weeks now. Ride is quite different from my 69 Firebird with an AME subframe and G-Bar rear. The rear suspension is less harsh than the G-Bar.

That thing is damn gorgeous. Great job. Love the wheels and stance.
