When I modeled Red Devil at the Nürburgring it was a touch faster than the ZL-1 but I don't think I would want to try it. The Nürburgring separates the men from the boys that place is very fast and very dangerous. I've crashed a car there and it was scary. I have driven the ZL-1 and it is a very well integrated car that most people can drive very fast. Our home built stuff is no were close to being as well sorted as a stock ZL-1

so even with a lot more power, less weight, and functioning ABS it would be close? That's amazing that these new cars work so well.

7.41 minutes around a 26 kilometer track -- avg speed is 130+ MPH....

Yeah -- that's scary!

Super fun like Halloween is to little kids -- but one wrong "BOO"! and they're balling like babies.... Crashes on a track where you are AVERAGING 130 MPH... OMG.

When the manufacturers state their best times I think they only use the old Nordschleife as a reference, not the Nordschleife and the GP track together, the total lenght is then 20,8km.

Anyhow the place is great fun but as you say, very scary, especially on the tourist laps. The guardrails are close and there is always one sucker crazier or stipidier than you so there is a possibility to crash :wow:

7.41 for a full lap is VERY quick

Not with me driving :)

If my car had the 1000"s of hours in engineering, and $$$$ that went into ZL1 I would say yes. I'm sure with that kind of time, It wasn't your every day driver either.

Just my 2 cents

I'm not sure that was the original question.

First, welcome Mike Finnegan!

To answer, not only no, hell no. IRS and traction assist are really allowed to shine in a place like that.

That said, I can think of a few camaros that would smoke that thing.
