PM'd.
Cleaning up the chassis rails today, I still have crossmembers to cut off. Should be on the chassis table tomorrow. So far 42 hours have been put into this project, keeping track so others mite wonder why Pro shops charge the money they do for this type of work. http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s.../F100/0012.jpg http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...F100/003-2.jpg http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...F100/005-2.jpg http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...F100/007-1.jpg |
More cleaning up of the chassis rails today.

A crossmember will be added for strength and a radiator support, the engine is set back behind the center line of the front wheels. http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...F100/009-1.jpg http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...F100/011-1.jpg LS6 engine http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...F100/019-1.jpg http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...F100/005-4.jpg |
More work in the garage today. Progress is good coming together nicely.
Mock up of the frame rail. http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/F100/008.jpg Chassis rail needs to be notched 3 inches, that will give me the ride height I want. http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/F100/010.jpg http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...F100/015-2.jpg Chassis is level, the torque tube is level, with the cradle being lifted 3 inches it looks like I wont have to modify the trans tunnel:) http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...F100/017-2.jpg http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...F100/019-2.jpg The firewall will need a slight recess of about 4 inches http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/s...F100/021-1.jpg |
Final mock up today, everthing will work so let the fabrication begin, sorry about the poor quality pic's
