every last one of those suck bad.. every single one.
not ONE of them says Mustang.. visually. so they were like "yeah so we have our unmistakable look that defines Mustang and prolly Ford in general but yeah... lets go and bite Aston Martin and some other and.. blend in." and to me.. they JUST got the look right!.. it almost.. ALMOST turned me into a Mustang owner! |

The original rendering's interpretations were REALLY misunderstood, and they call themselves ''artists'', the rendering's intention is much more different than what they think it is... Shelby GR-1, Aston Martin, yeah right, they make me laugh.

2015 mustang
the silver car looks nothing like other renderings I have seen. Hot rod or phr did a lengthy piece on the 2015 mustang and it looked much better. Retaining the c scoop in the doors, taillights, and pony corral front end. But Ford is right they have to end teh retro. They have to build a car that 25 year olds world wide want to buy, not a few of us 40/50 year olds. Mustang sales are only about 85,000/year. 1964 1/2 to 1966 they sold a million!!!! and I own one of those fastbacks!
The car I saw was smaller, about 7/8ths scale of the current generation and they are targeting 3100/3200 lbs. That is the right direction. Cars continue to get bigger and heavier with offsets in higher power, but not necessarily performance. The new porsche 911 makes 'only 400hp, and 325 torque, but runs 0-60 in 3.7 sec and 1/4 mile in 12 flat. That beats a boss 302, and it shouldn't. I don't think we need to hit the panic button yet. Ford doesn't want another 1974-78 Mustang II on its hands!!!! |
Man get real! I dont know where this person came up with their information, but being a former Ford dealer, there is no way Ford Motor Company would ever put a Mustang emblem on something that far off in left field. Ford would never loose the identity of the Mustang, you can bet on that!

Really, I think I might be closer if I said that this:
http://www.traraba.com/wp-content/up...diq7v12tdi.jpg is the freaking Mustang 2015, and the brand is not even related to Ford. |
Those are 2 different concept cars, and both of them are OLD. The first one is from 2003-4 and the second one is 2 years old now. NEITHER is a mustang concept.
There has only been one scary Mustang close call, where the Escort GT was going to be the new mustang. To let you know how close the concepts are the tho production cars take a look at this: http://www.muscularmustangs.com/database2/mach3.jpg http://mustangforums.com/assets_c/20...mb-350x262.jpg |
Looks like a kit car.

Wasn't that one the ''Mach III'' Ford wanted to bring back in the mid 90's?
