You have the links to my Skylark build, Doug. I would do the exact same thing as soon as you hit shore and if you hustle, you'll be on the road by Summer.

So it begins
So today I started my official planning for my skylark. I now have Jason on the payroll for plans, drafts and final composition of the evil twin version of his fine ride.
I have lined up a 1997 Corvette LS1 engine :) Upon my return to home, I will be jacking up the ride and removing the engine and trans for a basic face lift to the engine and compartment.......I want so bad to just put the car in the air and remove all suspension, engine and trans and start the fine detail changes to all the areas...but I would regret it during the summer months when the car shows come around. So the plan is hotchis, tremec, rushforth, and more to come. |
Almost..............
I am almost home.....16 more days and I will be back in Washington state. I cant believe how fast 7 months went by but I am sure glad its over......not I can get started on my car....
- First - Deep cleaning - De-greasing - Second - Organize tools for dis-assembly - Third - Remove everything suspension and drive train - Put it all on Craig's list and make back some build money. I cant wait |
Welcome to Lat-G Doug. That's a killer Buick you've got going. It's nice to see something a little different around every once in a while.
My little brother (little but bigger than me.) was stationed in Bremerton for the past 5 years. He's now down in Florida for 3 years, but I would imagine he'll be back in WA after that. He seems to like it there. |

Sounds like you've got enough locals to put together a work party, count me in! Cool car, keep at it. Dan |
