Gotta love an LS engine in a 69 Camaro!

Payton, why are you selling your car? Saw it on eBay. A shame.

By the way..... RYBAR, your car rocks!! I followed the thread on your upgrade with the rims/tires. I just love the stance, color, etc.... Given that you have the LS1.....would you say that your car has a ton of power, punch, or problem breaking those BIG rear tires loose :) I'm a big block guy, so I have really come to love the torque aspect of a street motor, if you know what I mean?

Well a stock cube 346 cannot match the torque of a BBC. But top end HP on 5.7-6.2 LSX can equal milder BBC's. If you want torque then I would really go for the largest cube motor, maybe a cam with a broader torque range. My setup lacks low end but can easily spin the 335's at will. It's a little more peaky but on the upper RPM it's moves pretty good.

Like Rybar said- the BBC torque won't be there unless you add some cubes to the equation, but keep in mind that you will be touting around 200 less lbs as well. All of it comes right off the nose of the car too.

FWIW- I ran 325/50/15 MT drag radials @ 18 PSI and could fry them at will with my little 346 and a T56.

The 799 is the same as the 243(01-04 Z06) head minus the light weight valves. For the money they are really hard to beat.

If your thinking about having any work done to the heads do yourself a favor and look at http://www.advancedinduction.com/LSX...43GMPRHead.php If you spend much time on ls1tech.com you will see lots of people raving about their head program.
