check craigslist, if you locate a vast majority of your tools in one location and let the local police/ sheriff know, they may be able to go forward and make an arrest even without identifying marks (example: pinging their cell phone to your shops location or fingerprints from the scene)
You will have to do the initial legwork, but hopefully the proper authorities can take over. If all else fails, there are no traceable balistics from a buckshot blast, seriously :lateral: |

My advice is install a security system ,it's one of the best investments I made in my shop. The piece of mind you get is just great,no more sleepless nights worrying that some asswipes are breaking in. And in all reality you can't spend the rest of your life guarding your shop with a gun every night. |
I wish the place i worked at had installed security cameras or even an alarm. But now they want to install all this after the fact. Doing things alil bass ackwards. Would of saved them alot more money doing it in the first place when we asked em for it. Now its too late. Im hopeing some of the bigger traceable stuff shoes up. Like our tech 2 or laptops. We have acouple more big tools with serial numbers on em too so hopefully they get stupid and slip up.

So sorry to hear about this man. Had a handyman friend with an incredibly stocked trailer full of tools, they took the whole trailer and he never saw it again.
Be careful about hot-wiring your tool box too. Believe it or not it it were to cause a thief and unreasonable amount of harm you could be in trouble. Crazy I know but in some states its true. WTF have things come to? Good luck, I hope you find your stuff! |
