If I'm really concerned, I pull my fuel pump relay. If they manage to hot wire the car, they'll get about 100 yards and be screwed. If you have fuel injection, they won't get anywhere.
Professionals use trailers. Make sure you have good insurance. :unibrow: |

http://arrowtrackgps.com/index.php?o...d=71&Itemid=53 Seen this system on another site. Seems pretty good "Arrow Track GPS. Its a live tracking GPS system for cars, trailers, boats, RV's. There is no waiting for police, You track your vehicle yourself on a private Internet account. It covers the North American Continent including Canada. You can track and keep an eye on your ride from another state if you want too. Best of all the GPS calls you when a problem occurs. So there is no waiting to discover somethings wrong. I put a Geofence around my car for added protection, so if my car gets a 1/4 of a mile away from where it should be, I get a second call from the GPS. The system is backed by 27 satelittes and communicates through first tier digital cellular networks. Its a GSM Quadband. There is no monthly fee. The first year of air time is free with purchase. You pay 99.95 a year starting in the second year for service. Best of all its an American product" http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y3/...rrowTrack3.jpg |
That's looks good... as long as they don't find the GPS antenna.
A simple alert to your phone when your door is open or detects the car being moved is really all that is needed. You'll know instantly if someone is messing with your car. |

"The antenna in mine is inside the GPS unit. The GPS is small. It can be hidden many different places. You can also test it yourself after install to make sure your hiding place is working" |
I just leave the keys hanging in the ignition... the smart guys figure it's a trap and leave it alone.
That... or none of my crap is worth stealing. |

You have a power wire supplying power to the dist. Disconnect that wire and run a wire from each end of the connection to a hidden switch. This will kill power to the ignition until the switch is closed. If you decide at a later date you don't want the switch, simply unplug it and reconnect the original connecton.
