In stock form, it sucks. Unless you are cruisin at +40mph you cant hammer it. My friend was shopping for a "new ride" and really wanted the Shelby but it was so uncontrollable.
Another huge setback is its still a solid rear axle and we felt every crack in the road. The car spun out and was not so "performance" friendly. It proved that no matter how powerful an engine is, its the whole package that matters.
He wound up buying a GTR. :willy:

Your Camaro is purdy, a 67 or 68 is real purdy, that new ZL1 is .........I guess just saying NOT is the polite description.

Nah :D

If I was going to spend 65k on another car I'd build another '69.

Gt 500

The GT 500 is pure over kill for the street. There is no way to get the power to the ground unless you have drag radials.
I know I had a 2008 Saleen and the car would just blow the tires off in 1st and second and it was only making 360 rear wheel horse power.

If I was going to buy another Mustang I would save 30K and buy the Boss. The boss is plenty fast for the street and just a better all around car.
The proof was when Top Gear USA tracked it against the Roush supercharged Mustang and the Boss was faster. Since the Boss can be purchased for under sticker it might be a "Best Buy" as far as new cars go.

I have had fast I would rather have a cool PT car which is street friendly and motor on.

Wonder what that engine as a "crate" is going to cost? I am a Ford guy and glad to see the DOHC engines finally come into thier own with this and the new 5.0 (It would be awesome to see a high compression NA 5.8 made out of this package as well.)

Really could care less about the ZL1 vs GT500 debate, you love what you love and really logic is out the window when the GM vs Ford debates start.

That Shelby might as well make 1000 hp. I see a bunch of injured dentists and lawyers coming soon. lol I watch these cars at the track run high 12s at 150 mph and slip and slide all the way down. It's a cool horsepower war, but adding 19 inch tires to a two ton car with a stick is recipe for bodywork for either car. I watched a CTS-V make a pass the other night. It wheel hopped so bad I thought the back window was gonna snap. Cool.

Clearly, you have an automatic, red, C6 Corvette, everyone is considered a yuppy to you.
