I guess reasonable is relative. $4K for wheels and tires that size is reasonable to me.....??

Sounds like you're spending a lot of $ in other areas (tires, minitubbing, etc) so I would advise against skimping on wheels. They can make or break a car.

Yeah I know right? :willy:

So with that said, I appreciate all the help in finding some reasonably priced wheels.

Well if reasonable to you is $4k then you're in okay shape!

Forgelines can be had for that, and during the Thanksgiving sale every year they are about $3300.

Lots of options around that price. I think Formula 43 are a little over $4k and those look to be an excellent quality built wheel (DSE's new wheel partner of choice).

My fiance's b-day is the day before thanksgiving. She's gonna be soooo excited to get a set of sweet Forgelines! Surprise! New shoooz sweetheart! :woot:

Any of our designs in 18" will be less than $1000.00 per wheel. Our current build time is 3 weeks.
Unlike other wheel companies, we actually manufacture our own parts including the inner and outer rim shells. We do not source them off of the shelf from a warehouse.
Our exclusive spin form technology gives us the advantage of controlling how the rim shells are made in order to optimize strength and performance.
This includes an improved safety bead on the both inner and outer rims to ensure proper seating of the tire and that the tire will stay mounted to the rim in the event of impact or loss of air pressure. Improved rim contour to help ease of tire mounting and bead seating. Added material in specific areas of the rim-half for additional strength and stiffness.
Combined with over 20 years experience in the aftermarket wheel business and fully backed by the team at Detroit Speed Engineering, Formula 43 wheels are going to be the best wheel and best value for your pro touring car.

I like the Rad14 design but would like a black powder coated rim with clear powder coated center finish. Is that possible? Any special pricing events or sales in the near future?

I keep seeing used sets posted for about that price and I was starting to pucker at the thought of 5-6k.

Give true forged a try, they are big in newer Vette and the mustang crowd. He quoted me at 2700 shipped for 3 piece wheels and powder coated centers

68vert,
All of our wheels are built to order so a set of RAD14's with a black powder coated outer and a clear powder coated center is no problem. The outer can be matte or gloss black, the center can be polished and cleared, brushed and cleared or clear anodized. All of which are extremely durable finish options. A custom back space is no problem either. If I can help you with any other questions or would like a quote, send me a pm with your specs and I will get back to you.

The Weld RTS are nice looking 3 piece 18" wheels in the $600 to $700 range depending on width and they are American made.
