Good gawd Rob! That's awesome!
Should be pretty rowdy! I like it! And BTW you're right on the LS motors -- it's not just the motor upgrade... it's all the other stuff. Nothing wrong with a good running big inch SBC/SBF. |
Thanks guys, picked up the motor today and had a chance to see it run on the dyno, a little cooler this moring, it made 682 hp today!

Gitting ready for Return to the Coast

Well the new motor is in the car, new clutch, new fuel pump and the headers are comming along. The combo of parts (DSE sub frame and the oil pan with huge kick outs) required custom headers. The headers are being built by Novelli rod & custom with SPD componets. The flange uses the Stahl bolt pattern to allow a full 1 7/8" primary that is stepped to 2" The primarys are 29"-31" long and will use a formed merge collector. The exhaust will be finished out with 3" SS X pipe and borla mufflers. We hope to have the car running this weekend to put a few miles on it before RTTC.

Awesome motor. Great choice. Can't wait to see and hear it at RTTC coming up soon. Congrats on those numbers. A compression of 11.5:1 on California gas with a carb is impressive.

Congrats Rob, let's get it done.
