Hope the shipping company doesnt charge by the pound or length  Congrats Ben ! |
Rob-that was one of the reasons I went with a Pontiac. If I want to stick with an old school motor, I can or I can elect to drop in a 04-up GTO motor/trans if I want to modernize and keep it Poncho powered.
Steve-Thanks again bud! I owe you BIG TIME! Looks like I'll fly down and drive it back on Saturday night. Shipping was $600-700, trailering it with my Sierra was still $400 with gas and trailer rental. For $50 I get a one-way ticket to Atlantic City from Logan and I'll be back in 6 hours on one or two tanks of gas...can't beat that. |
I suggested that to Bill. Hes only minutes from AC airport. He should be able to pick you up no problem and drive it home. Make sure to get the temp insurance set up. Thats a long trip home !
Be sure to toot your horn when passing exit 98 ! :unibrow: |
I can't believe I just paid $50 for air fare to AC! Talk about a no-brainer compared to $700 enclosed transport or even hauling it myself. Even the train was $160.
I called ins today so I should be good to go. Thanks! I should swing by and take you out for a beer! You going to SEMA? |

No SEMA for me this year..... I am taking a year off. We'll catch up and think of something. FYI.... too bad you have such a long ride ahead of you. There is a HUGE 3 day swap meet and auto show in Englishtown (on your way home) this weekend. You could fill up that big azz trunk full of parts and drive home from there. :unibrow: |
I'll be in around 5:30PM and then have to drive 6 hours home. It was the only flight that day to that airport. Wish I could stick around for the swap meet.
