The only thing worse than friends is family. Family will take advantage waaayyy beyond anything a friend will do.
I always tell friends when they do work for me "business is business, you better plan on doing it right and not too cheap because you are going to earn it".

the messed up part about all of this is he never used to be like this. it seems that just this last year or less he's really changed and became a huge POS. He ruined it for everybody now though. I'm always the first guy to help people, now its a money up front if you want my help deal sadly.
