The extreme DW is not a performance tire worthy of auto-x EXCEPT when its wet!!! Ive run the hankook rs3 for the dry warm races star specs for the dry cool races and the extreme dw only when wet.
I would go as far to say that if i were to have a camaro id be on 275 dunlops square before i would be on a 275/335 good year or michelin. They are that much of a better tire. |

The initial grip in my NT-05's is good, but I haven't pushed them on a closed course to find what it most important in my book......how they behave when they start to lose grip. Good DOT compounds gradually tell you they're starting to go and allow you to gracefully transition in to a 2 or 4 wheel drift, bad compounds hang on to the bitter end and toss you off the cliff with little or no warning..........IMO.

Another pretty darn good tire for the money is the Kumho Ecsta XS. I like them better than the NT05's. Their cold traction is pretty good as well.
