I'm with the majority on this one. I didn't much care for the L-88 hood on this car. I might try a standard cowl or a stinger if Bruce is interested though!

Is that suppose to be a '69 GTO nose on a '69 Firebird?

I would go with the bottom one, but I prefer the T/A hood which is not one of your options.

What about a Shaker hood from either a Gen 2 Firebird or Cuda?

Larry Noble did that with a 1968 bird and it looked good. My problem is that I have a Hogan sheet metal intake that is quite long so I need a hood that has a longer strip of high clearance to go over it.

In the majority, bottom one hands down

Top one doesn't seem to match the car, whereas the bottom one blends in with the lines of the car much better.

AHHH....Gotcha! Are you looking for an off-the-shelf hood or are you open to fabbing something up? It could be an elongated version of a shaker hood, sort of like a cross between a shaker and cowl induction. Come to think of it, what about buying one of those patch cowl induction units and integrating it into the lower portion of a long air cleaner rather than the hood itself? You'd probably have to strengthen the underside of the hood since there'll be a big hole in it. Just thinking out loud. :)

Good idea.....

bottom one...raise the center "hump" if needed

Could have the intake just stick through the hood with some menacing looking velocity stacks. Alright, I need to stop brainstorming now....this is why I can never get to sleep. :D
