#1 and #3 are my favorites. The stock color was granny gold "saddle".

This is a totally random question that I could ask in one of a hundred threads on this site, and its not even that applicable to this particular car, but I see you and others putting these C5/C6 based setups on everything including giant cruisers that must weigh in the 5000+ range. YOur chassis normally includes fabricated steel arms but is there every any concern about putting luxo barges on the Corvette spindle and hub ? I know the vette guys have problems with flex in both parts under racing conditions. I hope to someday build an old Lincoln or Cadillac and I just can't seeing using those aluminum uprights and 1.75" bearing space hubs. Any thoughts ? What is the alternative besides fabricated steel uprights ?

My opinion would be custom billet parts or custom carbon fiber parts then for more strength. And RS are the one's to build it for your if you feel like springing the extra coins for the one-off parts. :G-Dub: Furthermore, Stielow, Finch and other hardcore racers on here use the stock C5/C6 stuff with no problems and Stielow is pushing in excess of 800 hp and 800 ft. lbs of torque. :morepower

As we started moving forward with the build, Tim started coming up with a few ideas to make his car more unique. Jeremy and Chris took those ideas and started running with them to further enhance the look. Here are a few concept sketches as we started refining the the ideas that will go into the car.Final versions will be coming in a few days. They are bad ass, I promise!

On the front, we planned to recess the grille & headlights back into the fenders, more like a Camaro or Challenger. These sketches show some scoop ideas in the stock bumper. This was a starting point for the front and rear end that have really taken shape. We are now in the process of fabbing a complete 1-off front bumper and grille.

The rear of the car was begging for a major overhaul as well. We played with different tail light ideas kind of going in the theme of the new Charger. Tim thought that was too much for the car and was overpowering the rear end. So we headed back down the road of doing a more refined, cleaner version of the stock lights that turned out to be a better fit. Another one of Tim's ideas was to make the "Chevrolet" script light up as the 3rd brake light. Chris came up with a pretty clean design below.

We had also planned on changing the way that the trunk opens. It will now be more like a later model Chevelle where the rear body panel is now part of the body instead of the trunk lid.

Tim then did a photoshop version of our idea and added in a trim piece across the center of the trunk with the "Chevrolet" script in it. That idea fills the relatively plain/open rear section and will make the tail light idea easier.

My money's on Numero Uno Color scheme....but all three look good.

Those look like Schott F10's......I think they look good on the car. I have actually wanted to use that wheel on something too. They make some great wheels, done a few sets lately!

I can't wait to see what it looks like, I would give both nuts for anything Roadster Shop!

Thanks for the kind words, Yes, the initial design images are were done with Schott wheels. They wheels will probably be one off Forgelines when all said and done. The guys at the Roadster Shop know what thy are doing!!

Black or silver.... hmmmm
