Nice work Ed! Cant wait to see it up close... I wish I had dome my mods in metal... definitly more solid of a foundation, and probably would have been less time involved than trying to straighten and shape all that fiberglass. ( trunk, Qtr extensions, bumpers, vallance, and hood)
Hope to see you at Goodguys Nashville! KT. |
KT, I will be at Nashville all week. Find me when your out there.
The fiberglass items appeared to be more work than just doing it out of metal, and now I know what is there so it won't be moving around when you go to install it after paint. See you next week. Goodguy Ed :thankyou: |
Another really cool project.
I am guessing by the title it's going to be Silver. |
This is gonna be cool.
|
Marty,
Yes Silver will be the color on this on, Glad you other guys like this project. Working on bringing the stainless screen from the side vents and front valance into the interior. Here are a few shots of that. http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ngparts003.jpg http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ngparts002.jpg http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ngparts001.jpg Also installed it on the door panels and center console. http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...orparts004.jpg http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...orparts003.jpg http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...orparts001.jpg Now to get this all put together and back in the car. Check back for more updates. Goodguy Ed |
Ed you sure have alot projects, all of them are really looking good
|
Jeff, Glad you like it. This car is not the norm for me as I am a Camaro guy but it was a good price and I wanted to make a cool little driver car.
I choose the Intro Custom Wheels for this build. The rear spokes are sand blasted to give them depth with the fowrad ones polished. http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4fa72640.jpg Getting all the chrome and suspension put together. I used the RideTech AirBar with their Coil Overs for the rear to get the ride down where I wanted it. On the front I used the Chris Alston rack and control arms with the RideTech coil overs and Global West upper outer tower braces. Here is some of the work going together in the garage. http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ne058-Copy.jpg As you can see the rear bumper, tail lights and gas filler are all on. The exhaust ports in the rear roll pan was kept to give a clean look out the rear. The rear bumper was rechromed and tucks in very nice. http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ne053-Copy.jpg http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ne054-Copy.jpg Here is a shot of the Intro Wheels on the car with the Baer Brakes and the suspension set. http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ne057-Copy.jpg Took the Charcoal color on the hood stripe and painted the engine compartment. I will get this on the ground and outside to take some shots of the paint and the car on the ground. Little tight in the garage to get those shots. Next is the Jag door handles and the Harley Davidison Headlights. Stay tune  |
Ed you sure are moving fast on all three cars, like the silver paint and the Intros.
|
Man you are really moving on these projects, now if you could get Rodger to move faster on that 69 of yours?
Really love these mustangs! |
Jeff and Rick, Yeah tell me about moving fast, the check book is sure showing signs of that. The one thing about my job is I travel so much so when I can work on these I have to go like hell until my work takes me away.
This car is turning out pretty cool even though I was not going to keep it when I got it and just make it cool and turn it. The engine is going in and should have that wrapped up soon then onto the interior and final trim and glass. Thanks for checking this project out. Ed |
