I have an '04 Escalade engine in my '67 Camaro. I did an H/C/I upgrade and made 458/410 to the wheels. The 6.0 blocks are a great starting point. This one is an LQ9 which has the flat top pistons and a higher compression ratio than the 6.0l LQ4's out of the lower performance trucks.

Good luck with the sale!

Yea, was going to build it up for another project. But I may go mopar thanks for the info on the lq9. What's a good mild cam? And maybe just port and polish the heads

I got rid of the stock heads and picked up a set of 243 heads (LS2/LS6), but 799 heads are the same casting as 243's, just off a truck and a little cheaper. They will give you a nice compression bump over the stock 317's that are on the LQ4/LQ9's. I sent the heads out to TEA to have them ported and they flow very well.

I have a custom grind Comp Cam because I'm running a single plane intake. But it was very similar to the Tick Performance SNS Stage 2 which is 231/235 .617/.621 on a 111+2. My cam is on a 108lsa. Tick also makes a milder version of the SNS stage 2 (Stage 2 for ported heads, if you stay stock go with a stage 1) which has a little less duration and a little less lift. http://www.tickperformance.com/tick-...r-ls2-engines/

For something a little milder, you could look at a 228r from Texas Speed & Peformance (TSP). http://texas-speed.com/p-1148-texas-...-camshaft.aspx
