I thought that was odd too, but the Camaro disappeared in late November so it may have been pretty cold and the windows were up. Don't know the details of when the '50 Chevy went missing. All kinds of interesting theories are coming out.
It's also a little disconcerting that if this is the old Chevy they think went missing in 1969, just before the Camaro went missing, they could both be the result of a serial killer. I don't know exactly where in Lake Foss they were located but there is a highway that runs right along the east side of the lake. Maybe there was road construction that caused these cars to end up in the lake at night? The Camaro's nose looks like it's in perfect shape, even the grill and badge are there! I would expect some deformation from a water impact at highway speeds so that doesn't look like a possibility. Just sad and bizarre ends to these folks lives... |

Sure seems like foul play. |
It would be like hitting a brick wall going 70 and hitting the water. Very likely it knocked them out and they drown.
There had to be a road circumstance in that time frame that caused confusion for some drunk teenagers. |

I'm sure this is totally unrelated to the OP but just saw this on our local news.
Another submerged car with a missing persons/cold case. This one is from 1971. :_paranoid http://www.siouxlandnews.com/story/2...-old-cold-case Hopefully they learn enough for the families to have closure. |
Oh wow, I just drove through there 2 weeks ago... It makes you wonder how many submerged cars are out there!
