Great looking car my I helped my buddy finish this Nova really sweetcar aswell its a 72....his blue is the viper GtS blue looks pretty simliar great looking car good luck!

The rear end assembly looks great, any pics of the brakes?

wow, thanks for the many positive feedbacks.

i will post more pics maybe tomorrow. today i went crazy with the grille and headlamp area today ... it seems to be impossible getting all the gaps the same ...

i decided to use as less chrome as possible ... headlamp bezels and grille is powdercoated to be robust against debris. also in the engine bay no chrome, just powdercoated parts ... maybe it was a bad idea to leave to inner fender outs. might ruin the engine bay but i will come up with a solution when time has come.

i want the car to be light. no stereo, no wipers, no parking brake, no heating. the door's quarter windows are removed, i get a one piece window custom made. actually all windows are custom made plastic ones that come tinted. and that one in the doors will be fixed, no roll down function. the interior will be new and complete, it will be a full interior of course.

also i could have chosen 19" or 20" wheels, but as said this car is for driving so the superlight BBS will do a great job. the rear suspension is painted. polish is for show, leave it as is looks ugly.

the engine is great, too. big but drivable cam, great parts, and "desktop dyno" calcutaled something like 550 horsepower. with my target of 1300 kg (2860 lbs) this thing should go.

the brakes for the rear i dont know yet, now i have the stock vette brakes, maybe i just leave them in. front is M3 brake rotors and porsche calipers. also big brakes, but not huge 13" .... i want rotary inertia on the wheels and brakes to be small for great acceleration.

in the front is a subframe from wayne due's chassis shop. nice item.

after surfing the pages here i must say there are many many beautiful rides here :hail: !!! amazing !! gives a lot of motivation to get my car done fast ....

Well im not sure what the plastic windows would be like but being fixed what will you do if you get in a crash and the door is pinned shut? I got crunched between 2 cars in my 69 charger and had to jump out the window, with fixed plastic windows and a fire that would be BIG trouble.

Also for weight savings why not an alum engine?

like on every car your can still kick out the windshield .... or you just carry one on these emergency hammers with you that you find in couch busses ... it just looks so much better (more modern) with one big window instead of quarter window like on an old beetle ...

but the door is not made for that roll down function with one large window exept you modify the door with i dont want to. so i decided to rather choose visual effects ...

for the alumn engine ... my budget is not very very tight, but i have to see where to put the money in .... this is germany ... you dont find small blocks everywhere .. esp. alumn engines... and an engine can be changed later on any time ... so i focused on the items i dont want to change ... paint, bodywork, subframe suspension etc ... once the car performs i can still come up with a different engine thats fairly easy to change.
