Beautiful work. Can u tell me how you weld these panels? 1" at a time or spots, etc.....

Beautiful bead work, welding is not any worse either.

Just wondering why there is so many pieces, those welded strips 2" spacing. Could it be done any other way or is that what was wanted?

Dont get me wrong, work and skill level is awesom..

It's all tacked in place with about 1" apart tacks. Then I just start moving around laying 1-2-3" beads till it's all done. Letting it cool and adjusting as needed to keep the panel flat.

I don't have any pics on this computer. I'll post some up later. The 3" spacing in between is the actual frame structure. The original floor was wasted and I had to build the frame work first and then reattach it to the body.

Mark and Bent gang, beautiful work! I love the floor and specially around the shifter area and the firewall clearance ideas! Any plans to build and sell some smooth firewall however with clearance indentations that would work for first gens and allow moving the engine back further?

No plans for selling a firewall. To many variables and products now a days. Everything I do is one off and taylor fit to the customers wants,needs, and ideas. Besides I don't think to many people are moving motors back in a 1st Gen. That opens up a large can-0-worms.

Funny you ask though... I have a 69 in the shop that's going to be pretty bad ass!! I mite be moving the motor back a bit in it.
