Stuart -- the area is actually pretty depressed. This is a very transitory area -- lots of people with huge money - but they don't live here. They come and party and eat and ski --- and then go back to LA or wherever their main house is. There were TONS of mega mansions being built here for a long time --- and that supported a lot of hammers and cabinet makers and custom this and that.... now --- only a few of those are still around (the very best managed to hang in there)... and there's a lot of low level 'light industrial' buildings around in the Hailey and Bellevue area... most of which are just not suitable - or big enough - or.... And some are just way bigger than anything I need. So it's kinda like the Three Bears. Too big -- Too small...

There's another building I looked at a year or so ago -- 4 minutes closer -- with 4 HUGE doors -- that's a "bus" building (current occupant). It would need more work to make it something I'd want to have anything to do with.... and more importantly -- it has a 10,000 gallon diesel tank underground (and a pump)... and I don't want anything to do with that liability. The seller would have to remove it and get all manor of certificates that all is okay.

Your money clip should be a nice economy boost!!!

Underground storage tanks... The scourge of commercial buildings in this day and age...

I like that other building Greg, looks like it's in real good shape. Hows the roof? What kind of business used to be in it?

Well, Lance -- there's a plywood sheet over the 3'X3' square hole in the roof where the sawdust vent machine used to be. It was a high end furniture shop. And the building was left unheated and the pipes froze... They have since been repaired. Some of the electrical was just "ripped" out of or off the walls... you know what it's like when someone just moves and leaves the building to the bank. It would cost me some bucks to rehab. Not huge - but I'd have to get an electrician in there --- and I'd have to figure out how to permanently fix the roof.

Both big roll ups would need to be replaced -- they're beat and worn out... plus I don't like 'em. LOL

This is located in a small commercial area just south of the huge airport (joking about the size). It's kind of trashy for my personal tastes -- I'd like something a little more upscale - but that's not to be found around here. There is a vacant lot directly behind this building that's address is the other street -- the lot is actually pretty cheap - and I might just try to buy that as well. I could punch another door out that backside and have myself a drive thru operation!! Would be slick with the rig! Plus it would give me parking space for a normal car hauler which I think I'd like to add to the mix. I could do all of this for less than HALF the cost of nothing but the excavation bid on the home shop. Seriously!

Oh yeah.... Oh trust me... that's not even an expensive place. Beverly Hills might be cheaper! The real doosies aren't even listed - they're sold on the hush from the hip pocket.

The family used to visit Jackson Hole every summer for a week, I thought that was pricey real estate, woof!!

Best part was the Arnold and his bride showed up at Bubbas ribs and had to sign the waiting list like everybody else. Oh the look on her face. Priceless. Loved it.
