thanx, Mike

Norcal shelby is a great club to run with Mike. Alot of great drivers.

No need for a cage Mike if your running easy.

Mike (Glassman) and anyone else even THINKING about driving their car on the track -- this is a great event and venue to do it.

Despite Charley hating on you... and your trailer being smaller than mine... and on and on and all the crap you're going to absorb over the weekend... this is a hoot.

#1 -- Despite THINKING that you might embarrass yourself - and you will... get over it. None of us is some kind of pro driver. We've all done the off track excursions - spins - and whatever else you can do wrong at a track. Including the Stigielow.

#2 -- Despite his God Like status -- Charley is very helpful. Several times I jumped in the Mustang --- while he pointed out that my hood pins were undone... or asked if I'd checked my oil - or my tire pressure and on and on.

#3 -- It's more fun to do these things with friends... PERIOD. Going somewhere by yourself and screwing up - only saves you from getting dumped on for the rest of your life.

#4 -- Do yourself a big favor and tune Charley out when he starts a conversation with "You know what you need...."

#5 -- The regret you will have from NOT showing up, and the grief you will have to live with the rest of your life, is way more onerous than Charley, Sieg, Gaetano, and I on your azz all over this forum.

#6 -- Nobody is tracking your lap times.... nobody is keeping track of who you passed or who passed you... In fact - we're all too lazy to even watch what someone else is doing.

#7 -- If you have an issue with the car - or you just want to see what it's like -- or see the "line" etc -- ride alongs are always available (except the first session - which is a NorCal rule). It's fun to just sit there and take it all in while someone else does all the work. Amazing what you can observe when you're just riding along.

#8 -- Don't do a ride along with Charley - he gets car sick.

#9 -- Sometimes the Jackstand racers (or is it ricers) come up to hang out.. so it ends up being a great place to meet people.

#10 -- Charley always has a big BBQ and free Tequila and beer at his place on Sunday. No need to help him set up or buy the Filet Mignon or booze or anything - he provides it all. We all get to ride his race horses and he allows anyone to drive Mayhem or any of his other cars. It's so much fun to do burnouts in his driveway!!

PS -- If he says he doesn't really do this - it just means he doesn't like you personally. Don't take any offense at that.
