The only primers and clear I have used in my shop since 2005 is SPI. I have two personal cars painted SPI red.

SPI clearcoat is great to spray... designed for the DIY guy and VERY forgiving.... resistant to solvent trapping and excellent gloss holdout.

Nothing but good things to say about the clear... I haven't personally tried any of their other products.
