Ain't racin' great!! LOL

James - You said it all when you said "isn't this a great community". Hats off to all that helped. I wouldn't have expected anything less.

PS - Right on about the safety gear!! Stuff happens out there and it happens real quickly!

:D

I hit a wall, not a cliff.

But thank you - there are countless ways this could have been worse. A little bit more or a little bit less rotation and the damage is far worse.

Glad to hear two things:

A) You were wearing all your gear.
B) That you are ok.

The rest doesn't seem to matter that much given "B".

Man I'm glad you didn't get hurt. Looks like the front rotors were generating some serious heat.

I was sitting staged to go out for my last session when the incident happened. Talk about a horrible feeling coming over you when you hear somebody just hit the wall. It totally added to the already surreal experience of being at the track in the first place. Let's just say my last session was not my fastest.

Glad you are Ok James and that the car is fixable. We were very excited to see it back together on Sunday and running (competitively) in the SSC and Autox. Totally agree that the people are the reason this stuff is so much fun. I got a chance to meet some new friends that I hope to cross paths again with someday.

Great story and write up, thank you. Every picture I see of the weekend makes my heart rate go up a little still. Good luck getting the OLC back together

Its really s good thing you thought of safety first and had all your gear on. A lot of people don't think it could happen to them but anything is possible. The car can always be fixed, the body doesn't always recover. The people who helped is a true testament to how dedicated, involved and passionate they are about the sport. Much respect to those who cared enough to help you.
