Dodge products always stuck great motors in cars that couldn't turn left or right... so for me -- it's like who cares. On a twisty road - the base Corvette would probably run away from it.
I had an SRT 8 -- hated it. The 425HP sounded good at the time - it was such a ho hum vehicle that it just sat in the driveway. What bugged me almost as much as the lame ass motor - was their plastic everything. The "hand" of the controls was so yesterday... especially if you got out of it and then took a ride in my sons Audi S4.... similar costs and the Audi was just so much more car. The SRT ranked right there with my BMW M5 -- both ranked as two of the most disliked cars I've ever owned --- and I've owned a lot of cars. |

@automobilemag: How fast is the 707-hp #Dodge Challenger #Hellcat? Try 11.2 sec at 125 mph -- on street tires! http://t.co/fS23QreIIa http://t.co/c0WdVKnKmS "We already knew the 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat packed a 707-hp punch from its supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine, but now we know just how quickly the muscle car will hustle down a quarter-mile track. According to Dodge's own testing, the Hellcat runs the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds at 125 mph. When fitted with drag radials instead of its standard Pirelli P Zero street tires, the Hellcat managed a 10.8-second run at 126 mph. "It wasn't long ago that a 10-second car, was a full-on race car," Dodge and SRT president Tim Kuniskis said in a statement. "Not only can Challenger run 10s on the drag strip, but you can also fit your family and drive cross country." Read more: http://www.automobilemag.com/feature...#ixzz37ApBVwoh |
