Thank you all for your replies. Your right I have been a member since 2012. I would always look at other builds getting ideas for mine. This is the first car I have built. The color is GM laser blue metallic. I have some of the build pics on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG4_TMhkFmo

Very cool and slick

Beautiful color, as everyone has mentioned. Looks like a really nice ride. Good blend of various parts to make a cohesive project. Tail lamps l think are Marquez? How long di the build take? Any other ideas that you incorporated into your build we should know about?

I am a big fan of how the '69 RS looks. In my admittedly biased opinion the '68 and '67 headlamp covers lack the cool essence of the headlamp covers of the '69.

Any future plans yet, or are you just enjoying your ride for the moment?

Thanks for sharing,

Thanks for the compliments. The tail lights are actually just stock replacements, but they do look a little different true stock ones. I have been working on this car since Dec 2010. It is not done yet. It runs and I have done some test runs up the road and back and I can't believe how much power a stock LS1 has. But the interior needs to be done and the only exhaust on the car is headers and glass packs. I will get some more pictures on here as soon as get them organized.

Time for an intro and some build pictures. You know how it works around here.

I bought this car on a cold night night back in Dec 2010. There it was tucked in the back of a garage. The guy said "It needs everything." He wasn't lying. Back then I had never heard of protouring or restomods or anything else like that. All I knew is I wanted another 69 camaro and I wanted it to drive and handle like my 94 Z/28. So this is what it looked like when I brought it home

So I started right away with the tear down. I replaced the floors first. It was amazing the how much bondo was in this thing.

At first I was just going to patch the quarters, but I thought full quarters would be better.

Then it was like Christmas in June. Then I went to look a rear end. The guy told me he had a 8.2 10 bolt for $50, I just need a rear so I could move the car. When I got it home I realized it was no 8.2 its a 8.5
