The car went under the knife this weekend. Ian and I cut the shock towers, front aprons, fender supports, strut rod boxes, and the firewall out. The RC Motorsports front end goes in like any conventional Mustang II system. We will need to remove the fin type edge off of the tops of the rails to accomodate the crossmember caps but that's pretty simple. I left the rear section of the aprons in tact so I could keep the hood hinge locations and geometry correct. I will be making a new firewall and front aprons once my beadroller shows up and I'm happy with the suspension. We will also be bending and installing two 1.75" bars from the knee knocker forward to the front ends of the rails to add the much needed rigidity. These cars are very, very soft and thin. I can pick up the entire nose myself and walk it around the shop like a wheelbarrow.

Yeah I bought a 408 from a buddy last month. It's a simple one. All 4340 Eagle, good early block, girdle and studs, Isky solid roller, Victor Jr. heads, Super Victor etc etc. Should make 550+. it went 10.1 in a 2600 lb Fox with a glide so it should work. I'm excited.
