I am in the process of building a 1970 Mustang as well. Just about the same M.O., but with a T/A twist to it. Look forward to what you come up with.
Nice company name by the way... Mike Walker |

Here is the lovely lady before surgery and make-up...
Attachment 52280 Getting started, we pulled everything from the chassis to get the undercarriage media blasted as well as gutted the vehicle of its interior. Aaaaaaand to our surprise, it looks like this car was in a front end collision that snapped one of the frame extensions in half and bent the other. For a fix, it looks like someone crudely welded the passenger side back together and filled with body filler:bang:. So before we can really jump into the build, that issue needed to be addressed. the remedy of course is to simply swap the extensions out for new frame extensions. Once we got the frame aligned, it was time to install the Heidts subframe connectors. Only needing to shave a few areas, the connectors went in pretty easily. Next, for the purpose of adding more rigidity to the chassis, we added a roll cage and started tubing the front. Very nice. Should be a great project.
Looks like a pretty solid and clean car to start with. |
