I'm confused, I thought the Lojack system is only activated when a vehicle is stolen. I don't understand what you mean that you had to constantly reactivate the service. Something just doesn't sound right.

Read the following. Never worked for me. After repeated attempts by Lojack peeps to fix it I gave up.

I'd go with a kill switch and a simple GPS signal/tracking device. That and make sure your insurance is up to par. If it's wanted bad enough, it will get taken.
