When you run steel into aluminum - dissimilar metals - always use Ultra Torque or Blue thread locker (not red).

Put the head on FIRST - and then install the studs in the block. Finger tight is all they need to be. Trying to slide the head down on the studs already installed in the block risks damaging the stud threads of the beautiful finish on the head.

I have no advice for you but I do have one question, how do you stay friends with Gordon with two running 69 Camaros? :D

I believe the phrase you meant to use was "ACQUAINTED WITH". :evil:

I got some pics of the disassembly. Probably time to open up the old Project Thread and get this info in there. It's kinda like a voyage of discovery--and not in a good way.
