The only comparison I can give is the the standard Rival vs the S.
The S is significantly better in forward bite and turn in. My car has big power so launching it at the auto-x is always difficult, the first run on the S I nearly stalled it at the starting line because the grip was so much better. There were some durometer tests done in Nashville comparing the latest Falken and the S. Falken=55 and the S=51. A friend of mine was able to cut 1.9 60 ft times at the NJ pro solo on a unprepped surface in a stock C6 Z06 on the S. |
200 Rated Tires
Been checking around vairous websites, publications etc
and finally decided to buy the Bridgestone Potenza RE-71r tires Some stated it is almost like a R6 Hoosier.. we will see... They only make at 275/18 so that is the fronts.. will mount up my old Rival 315's out back and more than likely go to a 335/18 rival s Want to see how my wheel offset movement looks on the car once the wheels show up Bob |
Friend of mine with a 5th gen Camaro is looking at the same tires right now, and trying to decide if the smaller RE-71r would be better than the 305 Hankooks he's running up front now.
My choice was easy because Falken is the only one that makes a 275/40/17. |
200 tires
Love the Hankooks on my Pantera but
that is a dot road race tire Read in Scca mag that someone went to the Rival s from the Hankooks and picked up some time They were almost going to go to the bridgestones but think they are close to the rivals based on a competitor Time will tell Mary said I will have to soften things up going from the 17's to the 18's Wish these tire guys would make more sizes and Not have so many on back order Bob |
