No suspension just some straight rails, honestly I'm not smart enough to play with rocker style suspensions...:headscratch: I did talk with him about CAD files and his willingness to share, mainly on the rear set up though.

I'm easily a year out, won't even touch it until this fall and I really have no clue what to do with the front end. I'm not worried about it, I just have no clue.

What'd ya say we meet at Thunderhill next fall, GW makes some killer track lunches!...oh and the paint and body work, not touchin it!

Vince, I've got bare fabricated frame rails, all the stock stuff is gone. I am on page 22 of Ron's front suspension thread, so you know, I've got that goin for me.

I meant the fronts. the rear is easy cause you are half way there. just add a watts and coil overs.

Cool--Weld makes a mean weanie!

If I go back to suck, I mean law school in the fall, mine might take another five years to get moving. At any rate, I should have a new and really wrong chassis under it in the next couple of weeks...

I'm with you on the paint, although I did start of bit of dent removal before I ripped the last set of guts out of mine...

You're right, Weld can be a mean weenie...especially if you're friends with him!

You may be more on target with the 5 year thing. I'd like to be on track next fall but I know the$e thing$ take time. I've got a half ass plan and a goal, what else is there?
I'm expecting an update on this chassis thing you speak of, any sort of ideas help at his point.

Be at Sonoma in August for the Mini Nats....

Although - Basher - I can give you a guest pass at Oregon Raceway Park now that I'm a member... You can come down and drive the Miata. LOL

Sonoma? August? That's kinda on the way to Bonneville right?

Slide that seat back and pull the top! Let's do this!

The wife's mustang will be a great driver and local auto-x car but...I want more. The discussions with the group of guys I do these events with, the PRO3/E46 class races and the chitter chatter on this site has me convinced that I need a real track car. I've been looking at Falcons and 64/65 Comets, this one popped up Friday night and I was at his door Saturday morning after work.

What's with mechanical engineers and Falcons? :headscratch: He was moving across the country, the cost of the move was adding up so he pulled his goodies and I ended up with what you see. Very knowledgable and talented, the front suspension was an unexpected site to see, especially coming out of a garage build. It's purdy!

Inboard Shocks?

Yuuup. In the picture I posted the adjustable rod isn't for mock up, it connects to a rocker which connects to the coil over. Honestly it was like walking into the Roadster Shop's 300sqft satellite shop.
